How to Use Google/Microsoft Authenticator to Complete Two-Factor Authentication

After you enable login two-factor authentication (2FA), you can complete login verification through a mobile authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator). The system will require you to enter a one-time verification code generated by the authenticator to complete identity confirmation and log in to OmniStor. Please note:

  • You need to have two-factor authentication enabled and set up to use the mobile authenticator for login
  • The mobile authenticator uses a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) mechanism to generate verification codes. Ensure your phone's time is synchronized (set to automatic).
  • Verification codes update periodically;  enter the current 6 digits code

Please follow the steps below to complete verification:

  1. Open a web browser and enter the OmniStor service URL
  2. Enter your username and password on the login screen
  3. After the username and password are verified, the system will enter the "Login Two-Factor Authentication" screen
  4. Select the "Authenticator app" verification method
  5. Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator)
  6. Obtain the 6-digit verification code displayed on the screen
  7. Enter the verification code on the login verification screen. After successful verification, you can log in and access the main interface
  8. You can set or switch the verification method under "Account Settings > Security > Login Two-Factor Authentication"
