The mobile device binding mechanism ensures that only verified devices can log in to OmniStor, preventing unauthorized devices from using the account.
Before You Start
- Confirm that you have OSM platform management permissions.
- Plan the maximum number of devices each user can bind.
- After unbinding, the unbound device will automatically log out of OmniStor and free up the binding quota.
- Mobile device management only applies to iOS and Android app logins; web browsers and desktop applications are not included in the device management list.
Enable Mobile Device Binding Policy
- Log in to OSM. Go to User Management > Group Authorization Management.
- Enter the Advanced Settings of the group you want to configure.
- Enable the mobile device binding settings and set the maximum number of devices each user can bind. Click Save.
Assist Users in Unbinding Devices
To assist users in unbinding specific devices, please:
- Have the user unbind via OmniStor for Web at Account Settings > Mobile Device Management.
- If the user cannot perform this, find the account in OSM under User Management > Account information and assist with the process (some operations may require assistance from the ASUS Cloud technical support team).
