Forgot Your OmniStor Password? How to Reset Your Password

If you forget your password, the reset method depends on your account type. This article explains how to identify your account type and complete the password reset accordingly.

Before You Begin: Confirm Your Account Type

OmniStor supports multiple account types, each with a different password reset process. Please contact your MIS or system administrator first to confirm which type of account you have:

Use the OmniStor "Forgot Password" process, see steps below

Windows AD / LDAP Account

Please reset your password through your company's account management system or contact your system administrator.

SSO Account

Please reset your password via your company's authentication platform or login portal password reset mechanism, or ask your system administrator for assistance.

Reset OmniStor Local Account Password (Accounts Created by Administrator in OmniStor Manager Backend)

If your account was created by an administrator in OmniStor Manager (OSM), please follow these steps to reset your password:

  1. Open the OmniStor App or web version, and click Forgot Password at the bottom right of the login page.
  2. Enter your service URL; the system will automatically redirect you to the password reset page.
  3. On the "Forgot Password" page, enter your account (OmniStor ID) and verification code.
  4. After verification, the system will send a password reset notification email to your email address.
  5. Go to your email immediately and follow the instructions in the message to complete the password reset. After resetting, please log in with your new password.

Confirm Password Reset Success

Return to the OmniStor App or web version and log in with your new password. If you can access the main screen successfully, the reset was successful.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Didn’t receive the password reset notification email? First, check your spam folder or try again later. If you still don’t receive it, please contact your administrator.
  • Clicking "Forgot Password" does nothing? Make sure you entered the correct service URL; if it still doesn’t respond, try using the web version instead.
  • Not sure if your account is OSM, AD, or SSO? Please contact your MIS or system administrator for confirmation.
  • Still can’t log in after resetting your password? Make sure you typed your password correctly and that your account is not locked. If needed, contact your administrator.
